I had a dual-stage heat pump/gas furnace installed by Aquatech, and they were amazing!The Admin office (Alanna) took care of registering me for all of the tax rebates, and the Federal Greener home loan. It was an easy process and I didn't have to worry about anything.The installation was quick, the Aquatech team talked to my strata and got everything approved and even painted the exterior piping to match my townhome siding, as per the strata request.I highly recommend Aquatech, they're fast and professional.

Outstanding advice and service from Aquatech Vancouver Heating. We have a small home in Vancouver and needed to replace our furnace and hot water tank. They had an expert calculate the space, electrical needs, water usage, and give us advice. We went for the environmentally friendly version: Heat Exchanger, dual fuel furnace, and Tankless Water heater. We could not be happier. They showed up right on time, worked tirelessly to get all 3 units in, and didn't leave til it was finished. They took care of a 'flicker' we had in our lights after the install, due to our old dimmer switches. They even stewarded the Fortis BC Rebate process. I would recommend in a heart beat.

Aquatech installed our tankless hot water system recently.Jonathan took time to explain everything to us and gave us good price. Marco and the team were professional, knowledgeable and very neat. They worked for three days, each day they cleaned up everything after they were done. After installation was finished, Marco explained about this new system and answered all questions we had. This is a long overdue review that I have been meaning to write and opportunity to thank everyone involved.We had an American Standard Platinum 19 Series Variable Speed Side Discharge Heat Pump and Navien Tankless On-Demand Hot Water Heater installed during June 2023. We had an urgent need to get it done before the end of June and the Aquatech team very generously squeezed us in to what I am sure was a very very busy schedule.This is a complicated process with planning, installation, permits, rebates and trouble-shooting, and we are grateful for the knowledge, expertise, and very hard work of both the admin and technical teams.I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank Roy for recognizing the urgency of our request, setting things in motion so quickly, and administrative support. Jonathan, for his knowledge, expertise, recommendations and also making things happen so quickly. James, OMGosh James - I can't imagine how we would have managed any of it without your incredible help and support through the complicated process with permits and rebates!!And the technical team, Daniel - thank you for all of your support and trouble-shooting. Arman, Manjinder and Arkan for all of your long days and hard work with the installation (I hope I haven't missed anyone!).We have been enjoying the benefits of this system for over a year now, and so grateful for the cooling in the summer and perfect heating in the fall and winter. With a 3-level house, it took a little tweaking to balance the temperatures on each level - cooler in the basement and warmer on the upper floor, but thanks to advice from Daniel we figured out a system that works and are very very grateful.And loving the on-demand unlimited hot water too! Aquatech installed a Mitsubishi Zuba central cold climate heat pump on our home in March. Overall their professionalism and process was excellent from start to finish. We had 3 other contractors come give us quotes, but aquatech stood out above all the others in how knowledgeable they are with installing heat pumps. They did the calculations at our kitchen table in terms of what type of system would best fit with our Energuide assessment, and how much it would cost. I would recommend this company to anyone interested in getting a heat pump. The system has worked beautifully since the install.

The main reason we wanted a heat pump system was to prevent my 96-year-old mom from getting dehydrated at home during summer. Elderly people often don't sense temperature correctly - she insisted on wearing a goose down jacket in 40°C weather.We are grateful that we made the right choice and got the heat pump system a month ago. The weather temperatures have been fluctuating, cold and hot throughout the season transition. With the heat pump, we can easily turn the heater on at night and early in the morning in my mom’s room to keep her warm, and turn the cooler on in the afternoon when the sunlight is directly on her room to keep her body temperature stable.Thanks to our project manager Daniel for leading a strong team that worked on the installation for three days from 8 AM to 4 PM. Special thanks to Marcos, who configured and finalized the setup of the heat pump, and showed us how to remote control the air conditioners. Your work was not only technically professional but also completed so carefully, cleanly, and neatly.Two surprises - the heat pump acts as both a cooler and a heater, allowing us to switch easily for the elderly (the brand Aquatech Vancouver selected is reliable), which is what a radiant heating system can't do. It was a significant installation job that required skills, careful planning, and experienced leaders like Daniel to guide the team.Last but not least, we received a $6000 rebate from BC Hydro before paying for the system. Yes, we are on the interest-free pay-after-3-month loan contract. Thanks to Alanna - she worked on the rebate so diligently like she is one of our family.

Aquatech recently installed our whole-house heat pump and heat pump water heater, replacing an older natural gas combi-boiler system which was nearing the end of its lifespan. Like most of their other reviewers, I would definitely recommend them as a professional outfit.We had received other quotes which were either vague or much higher, and Aquatech's was the only one which right-sized a system based on our house heating analysis. From start to finish, working with Aquatech was a professional experience, including fixed price quoting, good workmanship, and thorough cleanup afterwards.Despite a tight workspace, the installation crew under Mok were able to install a somewhat complicated system (attic ducted & 3 ductless heads). It was clear that this was an experienced crew who are consistently doing heat pump installations throughout the year, which is exactly the type of people you want working on your house.Even the electrical subcontractor Aquatech supplied to coordinate and implement the electrical service upgrade was top-notch.Finally, after-installation service so far has been very responsive from Jonathan and the rest of the Aquatech team.

Aquatech recently completed the install of our cold climate heat pump. Jonathan came out to do the estimate and I was immediately impressed with his experience and depth of knowledge. He answered all my questions explaining the pros and cons of full cold climate variable speed central heat pump systems versus dual fuel cold climate central heat pump systems and provided quotes for both.I contacted four different companies and what made me decide to contract with Aquatech was Jonathan's knowledge and excellent customer service addressing all my questions and concerns and Aquatech's ten year warranty on parts and labour and very competitive pricing. Once I signed the contract Jonathan made every effort to ensure that my install was done quickly in accordance with my timeline.The install team were great: started work each day promptly at 8 am, answered all my questions, addressed all my concerns, worked quickly and efficiently, displayed great knowledge and skills, were friendly and courteous, cleaned up after all their work, and removed all debris and garbage. In particular the team did a FANTASTIC job of setting up a stable and solid base to support the air handler located outside.Would also like to acknowledge Paul and Alanna for their work in picking up the payment cheques, sending me updated invoices quickly, and preparing and applying for my rebates.All in all a GREAT job. I had a lot of concerns and was a bit anxious, but Aquatech allayed all my fears. I am VERY HAPPY and SATISFIED.

Aquatech recently installed our heat pump and tankless hot water system and the process was good from the quote right to the install. We had a a bit of a tricky installation due to our power limitations and they provided multiple quotes every time that I updated our requirements, to meet our needs. We talked with other companies as well, but right from the initial meeting with Jonathan we could see that he had a solution that suited us and our house (at the best price too). When the installation came up (quite quickly) Marco and the team were professional, knowledgeable and quite willing to explain things so that we were happy with the work before they did it. They worked carefully and cleaned up everything after they were done. Finally Alanna in the office made sure that we were prepared and had all of the back up that we needed to get our Federal and BC grants. Like everyone that we dealt with at Aquatech, she was very helpful and great to work with. It was a big job and decision for us, but Aquatech made the whole process easy and I'm glad that we did it. I totally recommend them for anyone looking for a heating or heat pump solution.

I can’t say enough about this amazing group of people and by the looks of all the google reviews, we all had the same experience. Aquatech Vancouver Heating &Air conditioning truly exceeded my expectations. They replaced both my old furnace and hot water tank with a Mitsubishi heat pump and Navien tankless on-demand hot water heater. These are the people that got me through the installs and administration:1. Jonathan: Our initial point of contact, Jonathan, impressed us with his professionalism, organization, and extensive knowledge. His expertise won my husband over during our first interaction. When we met again during a second visit, Jonathan patiently explained the heat pump process to me, as I was new to this technology. He even collaborated with us on vent placement, finding creative solutions that suited our needs. We met other technicians from other companies and they didn’t have the same professionalism. And the quotes from other companies just couldn’t compare to the quote from Aquatech. It was an easy decision.2. The Installation Crew (led by Mukhpreet): The installation team was outstanding. They worked efficiently while maintaining a clean and tidy work environment in our home. We had 4-5 trucks in our driveway, with a full crew. Mukhpreet and the team ensured our satisfaction each day, going above and beyond to address any concerns. On the final day, Mukhpreet stayed late until I got home to personally explain the system to us, ensuring we felt comfortable with its operation. The team was clean, efficient and respectful of our home.3. Alanna: And I’m saving the best for last. Alanna provided exceptional support throughout the entire process. From managing timelines to pre and post assessments and rebates, she guided me ever so patiently. Annoying phone calls from me only to be answered so politely and thoroughly until I felt comfortable with the process. Thanks Aquatech for the installation of my heat pump system.I really appreciated the assistance from the office staff, Alanna for connecting and dealing with all the rebates, forms etc. Made a huge difference to not have to do all that work.While I was happy with the overall installation, even with a few delays I would have appreciated more information and details prior to the installation of the electrical upgrade. There were several areas that I would have been happier knowing about, the changes and additions of the cable and pole at my expense and location of a new box on the outside wall.Prior knowledge of additional wiring being installed through basement would have been helpful not just at the time of installation.Overall I am happy with the heat pump system and would recommend Aquatech.

We had a first-class experience with Aquatech for the installation of a Daikin Ductless Multi-Split Heat Pump system (HVAC). We wanted air conditioning for our home, but our installation was complicated as we had a modern home with radiant floors and a very little space between roof and ceilings to run refrigeration lines. Despite the challenge, the Aquatech team went out of their way to find a solution that worked on time and budget. The AC works according to specifications and we're happy. Johnathan, Daniel and the crew were great. Our furnace system of our 22 unit apartment building was installed well. Communication among the crew and project managers and myself the owner was professional and courteous. Any unforeseen issues during the install was discussed and dealt with promptly.Our project was a complete removal and disposal of the old 40+ yr old system and installation of new commercial boilers working in tandem. After getting quotes from 8 other companies for a heat pump/mini-split system, we were feeling frustrated and demoralized by pushy sales tactics, ridiculously short labour warranties, lack of knowledge about government rebates, and overinflated quotes. Aquatech was the last company we reached out to, and we almost wrote them off due to how busy they were and the time it would take to get their quote. Thankfully my husband pointed out that busy was a good thing and to my surprise, Aquatech opened up their schedules in order to accommodate our timeline, which offered our first glimmer of hope.During our initial meeting with Jonathan, it became clear that Aquatech knows what they're doing. From giving us a clear idea of how the lines would be run, to confirming outdoor unit placement per our specifications, Jonathan proved to be both professional and very technically knowledgeable. Unlike with a few other companies' sales associates, I never felt intimidated or pressured when speaking with him.Although unable to beat our lowest quote, Aquatech was able to come close while also boasting a substantial labour warranty. Despite a snafu with the delayed availability of Mitsubishi equipment that we had originally been quoted for, Aquatech set us up with an even better Daikin system, while still adhering to our budget and timeline (May 2023). The install crew got the job done in 4 days, bringing in more team members as needed to ensure the schedule was kept to. Kudos to the lead, Yusaku, for being attentive to our concerns and questions every step of the way. We really enjoyed working with him, and the team seemed to have fun together despite the heat and complexity of the job.Our Daikin system runs well and is super quiet, and the lines look great and so clean -- I honestly don't even notice them when I am in our yard, which was my biggest fear in moving forward with a ductless mini-split/heat pump install. We are very happy with Aquatech's work and would definitely use them again for any future HVAC needs that arise.

I researched Consumer Reports for the most reliable brands of heat pumps with high customer satisfaction, and chose American Standard because they had a local installer in Vancouver BC.Aquatech sized, quoted and installed an American Standard heat pump. They also took care of all the paperwork to apply for municipal, provincial and federal grants.The work was done on time, on budget, with minimal impact on our life during the install. The tech crew (Arman, Arkan, and Manjinder) were professional, friendly, helpful and responsive to requests.Altogether a good experience! I can recommend Aquatech to others considering a heat pump.

Aquatech is booked solid on heat pump installs for months in advance for a reason. They have a great formula that they follow that makes them very efficient. The install team were terrific - everything was done within the duration estimated, including a not-small clean up job at the end of each day. We had EVERYTHING done - heat pump install, tankless water heater install plus an electrical upgrade to deal with the extra load.Their approach took all of the potential headaches out of our hands - they organized the 3rd party inspector needed to get the federal grant and are taking care of the grant applications at all levels - federal, provincial and, luckily for us, City of Vancouver. Their approach ensures our rebates/grants are the max available.Shout out to their electrician, Indy and his colleague, who were really nice, helpful and really efficient - it was not a small job! The rest of the install team - Jamal, David, Arman and Singh were professional and efficient, as well as very tidy. Coordination of all parties needed, plus addressing all our questions and the entire rebate application process was handled very professionally by James.A consideration for the homeowner is the additional work needed - replacing drywall, adding insulation to improve the home's overall efficiency, addressing any existing ducting issues to ensure good airflow. Also, if doing an electrical upgrade, consider that it may, as it did for us, prolong the completion of the job due to the required scheduling of BC Hydro around the set up stage & the connection stage.The American Standard unit is SUPER quiet - it runs on the side of the house, not far from our back deck and I'd say our dishwasher is noisier than the heat pump fan. They put a solid stand under it that will last; we recently noticed another home in the neighbourhood with a heat pump that was placed on a couple of wood logs, which will rot over time. Ours won't.All in all, really pleased we went ahead with this and glad to have cooling this summer that is much less impactful on the environment.

Their team did excellent work on the install and managed to adapt the new technology to our 110 year old house. I was apprehensive about the noise, but the new units are nearly silent and we don't even notice them. With the current rebates and our efforts to reduce carbon emissions, my only regret is that I waited so long.

I'm not sure if all the good reviews are legit. I found the company on BC Hydro's website as they are a HPCN member and it is required to get the rebate. I choose the company because of the proximity to our home and the 'stellar' reviews. I called on April 22, 2022 and it went to VM so I left a message informing them that we are interested in installing a heat pump & requested a callback. No response. I called again on May 2, 2022 and left another message and still received no response. After over a week with still no response I filled out a web form on their site (name, email and request) for a quote. As of today still no response. I understand companies are busy but not returning business calls after multiple attempts is just not good business ethic.***UPDATE*** I was surprised to get a call from Aquatech after not hearing back from them. Jonathan called, apologized, and explained how my messages perhaps got lost and if we are still interested would like to us book an appointment. I didn't see any harm in finding out what they have to say and at best, it would be a good comparison to a local competitor who came not too recently to assess how much to install a heat pump in our home.I was surprised that Jonathan was able to accommodate our work hours and book us at 6 pm the week after (apparently they are super busy so after office hours visits might work better sometimes). We are glad we gave Aquatech a second chance. My husband joked the company must have sent their best man because Jonathan was extremely knowledgeable about the product and service. We were provided a very detailed quote a week after the visit. What's even better is that Aquatech does all the leg work when it comes to the BC and Federal rebates available and they offer great financing. It was by far a much better appt compare to the other company. Our appointment with Jonathan was very thorough, it didn't feel like a sales pitch and we felt no pressure to commit to anything. Our installation is booked for mid-August and will provide a full review then. If you called Aquatech and haven't heard back just be patient. They are proving to be worth the wait.

Our hot water tank and ancient gas furnace both needed to be replaced. After researching and communicating with different contractors, we had both done by Aquatech. Pricing was competitive and quality of work was excellent. Guys on site were punctual and courteous. There were some issues with the furnace install that Jonathan resolved quickly and the city inspector noted it was a solid installation compared to some of the poor jobs by other companies that he sees - always good to hear! Also James at the office was very responsive and helpful in processing the rebates available from Fortis at the time. Thanks again, guys!

I was given a Heat Pump installation reference for AquaTechVancouver by a family friend and am very grateful for that recommendation. Jonathan and his team provided a competitive quotation for a top tier American Standard Platinum 19 Central heat pump. This unit will easily provide both winter heating and summer cooling while reducing my carbon contribution to global warming.What was a very large bonus was their helpfulness in organising all of the various rebates available from both Federal and Provincial sources. They were also able to provide access to an independent Energy Home Inspection which is required for the federal grant. Other companies were leaving it up to me to navigate through all of that on my own and at my risk if I missed some detail or another. This was a great peace-of-mind point for me.The installation team were very professional, taking all of the necessary steps to both remove my old forced air furnace and neatly install the new system. They followed up with American Standard supplied documentation and a 'walk-through' on the operation of the system and it's components. Site cleanup upon completion was perfect along with a follow up inspection by Jonathan.So overall, an excellent and stress free experience. I highly recommend.

We used Aquatech to replace our old furnace and hot water tank system with an American Standard Cold Climate Central heat pump, tankless water heater and as well as a 200 amp electrical service upgrade. Jonathan as his team were very responsive and were able to fit us in to install the system within a week of doing an assessment of our current system. The installation was very quick for the hot water tank - unlimited hot water was a welcomed upgrade! The heat pump was installed the following day and Jonathan's team thoughtfully provided us with portable electric space heaters while our furnace was being decommissioned. We've had the system in for a little over a month and it's worked flawlessly. James on their admin team has been a great help in navigating the current rebates available to Vancouverites and identifying additional bonus rebates that we can take advantage of. He's taken on the rebate application process which has made my life easier.

When I finally decided on going with a heat pump I did my research and called around many different HVAC providers to get an idea of pricing and available products. After speaking to the different companies and being slightly overwhelmed with the whole process only one company had a representative provide me reassurance and all the information I needed in order to make a sound decision. Jonathan Kwon really knows the industry and his products. He quickly addressed all my questions and concerns. We spoke prior to my possession of my house and when possession came, him and his company were ready to resolve our heating and water heater needs. We decided on a ductless mini split heat pump and tankless water heater. Install day came around and the Aquatech crew worked long hours to ensure the job was done properly and professionally and within the timeframe they estimated the job to take. Last year we had some issues with our shop heater downstairs that Aquatech was able to quickly resolve for us, so when we had the misfortune of our AC crapping out on the hottest day of the heat wave this past summer, naturally we called on them again.Thankfully they were able to squeeze us in that same day to come see what the problem was, and while we weren't able to get things fixed right away, a new HVAC unit and parts had to come in from out of province, Jon and the guys at Aquatech did a great job and we'll definitely use them again whenever needed!

These guys were great. Needed a new water heater and they did not disappoint. Always worried about trying a new mechanic but the anxiety washed away as soon as I spoke with the manager on the phone. Needed to do some much needed re-piping and we reached out to Aquatech for a quote because of a referral. I’m glad we did; we were able to negotiate a cheaper quote and I felt better about the repairs after talking with the manager. There were a few unfortunate delays but when the work was scheduled the re-piping was done on time and on budget. Will definitely get another quote from them anytime I need work done.

I had a dual-stage heat... pump/gas furnace installed by Aquatech, and they were amazing!The Admin office (Alanna) took care of registering me for all of the tax rebates, and the Federal Greener home loan. Outstanding advice and... service from Aquatech Vancouver Heating. We have a small home in Vancouver and needed to replace our furnace and hot water tank. They had an expert calculate the space, electrical needs, water usage, and give us advice. We went for the environmentally friendly version: Heat Exchanger, dual fuel furnace, and Tankless Water heater. We could not be happier. They showed up right on time, worked tirelessly to get all 3 units in, and didn't leave til it was finished. They took care of a 'flicker' we had in our lights after the install, due to our old dimmer switches. They even stewarded the Fortis BC Rebate process. I would recommend in a heart beat.read more

This is a long overdue review... that I have been meaning to write and opportunity to thank everyone involved.We had an American Standard Platinum 19 Series Variable Speed Side Discharge Heat Pump and Navien Tankless On-Demand Hot Water Heater installed during June 2023. We had an urgent need to get it done before the end of June and the Aquatech team very generously squeezed us in to what I am sure was a very very busy schedule.This is a complicated process with planning, installation, permits, rebates and trouble-shooting, and we are grateful for the knowledge, expertise, and very hard work of both the admin and technical teams.I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank Roy for recognizing the urgency of our request, setting things in motion so quickly, and administrative support. Jonathan, for his knowledge, expertise, recommendations and also making things happen so quickly. James, OMGosh James - I can't imagine how we would have managed any of it without your incredible help and support through the complicated process with permits and rebates!!And the technical team, Daniel - thank you for all of your support and trouble-shooting. Aquatech installed a... Mitsubishi Zuba central cold climate heat pump on our home in March. Overall their professionalism and process was excellent from start to finish. We had 3 other contractors come give us quotes, but aquatech stood out above all the others in how knowledgeable they are with installing heat pumps. They did the calculations at our kitchen table in terms of what type of system would best fit with our Energuide assessment, and how much it would cost.
